Favourites of 2014

Wow. I cannot believe it’s the end of 2014. I cannot wait for 2015 and have got loads of ideas for posts. This is my favourites from the year post, where I talk about some of my favourites from the year.

Tools
This year I have been really liking the Real Techniques brush line. The quality is really good and I love the range. My favourites from the range are the Real Techniques expert face brush (for foundation) and the Real Techniques blush brush (powder, blush, bronzer). The retractable brush is also great to throw in the purse as it stays clean.

Makeup
I haven’t got loads of makeup favourites, as I picked out the things that stood out to me the most.
My favourite discovery all year is the Tanya Burr lip glosses, ‘Picnic in the park’ especially. I have mentioned it numerous times, but seriously- it’s AMAZING! I will link my review of it here.

I have really been loving lip-gloss this year and the Maybelline elixirs have been awesome too. I’m really liking the lip lacquer trend- the glossy stain type product. This is a really glossy, silky smooth lip gloss with lots of pigment. The colour shown is ‘blush essence’. I have done a review a review on these to, so I will link that here.

One foundation that I have been loving is the Benefit hello flawless oxygen wow foundation. It’s very watery (another trend I have been liking) and so looks really natural on the skin. It has light, but buildable coverage and looks so seamless on.

The Urban decay naked 3 is INCREDIBLE! It’s so beautiful. I know that this was in everyone’s favourites last year, but unfortunately I wasn’t blogging last year! Anyway, I love it and totally think it’s worth the money and the hype. The shadows are so pigmented, buttery and smooth. These are some of the best shadows I have ever tried.

One highlighter that I am obsessed with is the Body shop glow radiance pearls. These aren’t particularly cheap, considering its high street, at £14, but they are so beautifully sheeny. If you don’t like shimmer then these probably aren’t for you, but I love a bit of shimmer and I love them!

Nails
All summer long I was wearing Barry M green berry. It is genuinely the best turquoise polish I have. It’s so bright and fun for summer. Maybelline Mint for life has been on my nails so much this year. I really like the formula, it’s quite long-lasting and the brush is good, but the colour is what I love.

Essie on the whole has been a massive discovery and my favourite colour (shown in picture) is probably Cute as a button. I will link the brand review on Essie I did here.

Skincare
The Boots Botanics cleansing water has been a great morning cleanser for me. I tried to use it to take my eye makeup of but it didn’t work too well. But as a morning cleanser, it’s really nice for a quick refreshing cleanse.

I have also been loving the Garnier softening cleansing lotion. I have tried the dry skin version and combination and I think I prefer the combination version. It dissolves makeup really well without being heavy and clogging.

The Body shop tea tree gel has also been a life saver this year. I have had quite a few this year blemishes and this has helped clear them up really well.

Those were my favourite products from this year, that I have been loving.
