Liquid
liner is can be truly troublesome. Trying to get a clean and even line can be a challenge. It finds its way onto the cheek, nose, eyebrow, the list goes on. In spite of this, if you get it right, its a really effective way to define your eyes. To get a sharp, professional look, here are some top tips to get you out of trouble.
The most important thing is choosing the right liner. Whilst some luxury liners provide good staying power and intense colour, there are also some great budget options on the market. Look out for the Soap and Glory Super cat liner as its easy to apply, jet-black and sits in your hand comfortably. Some other great buys are the Barry M gel liner and the Rimmel scandaleyes waterproof kohl liner. for those who like pencils, try the Rimmel scandaleyes liner as it creates the gel effect without the hassle. This product is timeless and never goes out of fashion.
Tip. 1- Know when
it can’t be rescued
Knowing
the point of no return is hard. Sometimes it’s not worth trying to save. If you
make mistakes regularly then try doing your eye makeup first then if it goes
wrong then you can wipe it all away without worrying about your concealer and
your foundation being wiped off.
Tip. 2- Cotton bud
Having
a cotton bud by your side is the most useful thing you can do to make your
liner better. It really helps the line become much sharper and smoother. They are also perfect for fixing mistakes.
Tip. 3- Appreciate
the mirror
Having
my nose pressed up against the mirror is the only way I can get through my
liner and I know it’s the same for lots of people too. Using the mirror is
really useful to make sure its ok.
Tip. 4- Stopping smudging
So
once you have the perfect line and you want it last, then this is the perfect trick.
Simply take an angled brush (mine is from Mica cosmetics) and a black/brown eye
shadow and press it over the liner. It works really well. You could also use
this instead of a liquid which makes it much easier and the mistakes less
noticeable.
Tip. 5- Not under
the eye
Not
only is it really tricky to line under the eye with a liquid liner, but it also
looks quite harsh and too sharp. Try a pencil liner or eye shadow instead.
So I
hope this gives you a few tips for liner- I know how hard it is!
