Liner
is an easy way to define and accentuate your eyes and by adding a little colour
into the mix is an easy way to wear brights. Blue is a colour that most steer
away from, but inspired by the LancĂ´me spring collection advert, I decided to give
turquoise a go…
Starting
with the shade- a bright aqua is a great shade for the upcoming spring months
and especially suits hazel or brown eyes. It really makes them pop. If your
eyes are blue, try something with a little darker and deeper, with a bronze
shimmer running through it. Using blue against blue simply reduces the shade of
your eyes. For green, try something with a touch more indigo in, again blue can
wash out the eye colour.
For
an all-round liner, try the Avon glow liquid eye-liner in tropical blue. It is
a simple blue, with slight shimmer that’s not too green or dark. The sponge tip
applicator makes it really easy to get a thin and precise line. The long handle
also allows easy grip and control.
You
can leave it as a sharp line, or slightly smudge it in with matching shadow.
You could also apply under the eye for a more dramatic look too.
If
you’re looking for a shadow, blush and lipstick to pair alongside it, look no
further. ‘Nooner’ from the Urban Decay naked 3 palette is the perfect crease
shade to match. Personally, I think peach matches perfectly with blue, so the
MUA blusher in ‘Lolly’ is the perfect peach shade. It’s also a fabulous dupe
for Clinique’s cheek pop in peach pop.
A
peach lippy? Revlon’s Juicy papaya is subtle due to its balmy formula, but
gives a bright pop of peachy coral.
Will
you be giving blue liner a go for spring?
