Having a classy, fresh and modern face of make-up is sophisticated and stylish. Inspired by the Spring and Summer 2015 shows, I will be giving my take on a modern 2015 look. Some of my favourites this year came from Burberry and Chanel. This year was a little different- many designers opted out make up, not using any at all. We saw this fresh no-make up at Marc Jacobs who only used moisturiser. This look will hopefully give the highlight of all trends.
COMPLEXION:
Starting with the skin, dewy and radiant skin was definitely a recurring trend. Apply first a golden illuminator all over the skin. I love Body Shops Skin focus face illuminator. The golden bronze liquid adds a subtle glow and dew. Over this blend your regular foundation, to smooth imperfections and skin tone. However, something light and sheer is best. A tinted moisturiser is the perfect product for this, the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue perfectly fits the criteria of this, glowy and natural.
Dab little concealer onto any discolouration, for this L'Oreal's True Match blends seamlessly into the skin, disguising blemishes and dark circles. Blend out with a small detailed brush for ultimate coverage.
For a light bronze, sweep HD Brows Powder Foundation in 3 to add a honey glow. Apply in a three shaped motion- under the jawline, the cheekbone and around the perimeter of the forehead. This will give a sun kissed, tan look- perfect for the summer time.
EYES:
Also apply this to the crease and upper eyelid, avoiding the centre, for a defined and golden lid, however very natural. For a modern, fresh face, skip liner and only apply a little mascara to the upper lashes.
To avoid a vintage style, adopt a natural or bare brow and skip winged or thick liner. This avoids the classic 'pin up girl' look.
LIPS:
Finish the lips off with a red pink lip colour, with a touch of gloss. Bourjois's glossy stick in 01 'Red Sunrise' gives ease to apply and a bold ravishing finish. Blend a little with your fingertips for a just- bitten finish.
That's all for this modern make-up- super easy and fresh! What do you think of this new look?
