This is a simple but
pretty make up look that is really affordable as all from high-street brands.
It’s quite glowy, natural and has a coppery eye, which is perfect for autumn.
Obviously you don’t need to use the products I am, recreate the look with
whatever you have.
For base I want something really light so my skin can breathe, but also has a bit of coverage for where I need it. I’m using the Avon BB cream, that’s really glowy, buildable and has a satin finish, so it doesn’t make me too oily as I have combination skin. I like to do concealer first but that’s personal preference and I’m using the Garnier roll on concealer for underneath the eyes and the Collection concealer for spots. I really like the Garnier one as it is not cakey, very buildable and almost has a watery texture, so it’s not heavy at all. The metal roller ball is also really cooling. The Collection one is ok, but quite cakey and dry, but it does have good coverage. I set this all in place with No7 translucent powder as its really light weight.
For eye shadow I’m
using the Sleek Garden of Eden palette as I think it’s really pretty for
autumn. Also these shadows are really pigmented and buttery. I’m also using the
highlighter that I used on my face. I applied the highlighter from the inner
corner to the centre of the lid. I then mixed up ‘eves kiss’ and ‘gates of Eden’(the
two in the top left hand corner) and applied that on the outer corner, to meet
the highlight and also under the eye. Then I took the dark matte brown called
‘flora’ (top right hand corner) and applied that to the crease. Then I used my
MUA eye liner in rich brown and did a wing and also pushed it in between the
lashes to make them look thicker. I also lined the inner rim of my eye with
whitey pink eyeliner to brighten it up. I then apply No7 extreme length
waterproof mascara to my top and bottom lashes. I use waterproof as then you
don’t get smudges.
For brows, do what
you need to. It they need filling in, I like the Maybelline brow pencil, but I
generally just use a tinted brow gel, I like the Maybelline one. It sets them
in place so they don’t move around throughout the day.
For lips I’m mixing
two lip-glosses. I’m using the Tanya Burr lip gloss in picnic in the park which
is AMAZING! It’s really pigmented, shiny and lasts really well. I’m mixing it
with the Avon ultra-colour rich lip gloss in caramel sparkle which they don’t
make anymore :( but use any nude or pink lip gloss you have.
I really hope that
this gave you a few ideas of how to change up you’re makeup for autumn and
winter!
