Christmas FOTD- Christmas series 2014 #5

I cannot believe that it is Christmas Eve! I am so excited. This is the makeup that I will be wearing tomorrow as well, but it’s also my makeup for today. There will be no post tomorrow, but on Boxing Day there will be my favourites of 2014. This is a really festive look that’s perfect for a Christmas party or for a day at home with the family!
For my foundation I am using the Bare Minerals foundation, which I’ve done a first impressions on here. On my under eyes I am using the Maybelline fit me concealer and I am pinpoint concealing my blemishes with the Collection concealer. They are quite similar but the Maybelline is just creamier and more moisturising, but has a little less coverage.

For blush I am using No7 coral flush which is one of my all-time favourites. I mention it all the time and love it! I am contouring and bronzing my face with the HD brows powder foundation in the shade 3. It’s really creamy and blend able, also a great shade to create a realistic shadow. I like a strong highlight for Christmas, so I’m using the Body shop glow radiance pearls. They leave a beautiful healthy sheen.

For eye shadow I am doing a semi-smoky glittery gold eye with the Urban decay naked 3 palette. I start by taking ‘strange’ into my inner corners, brow bone and lids. This is a great matte cream highlight. I then take ‘limit’ above and into the crease to blend the edges. Then ‘Nooner’ into the crease for definition and on the outer corner. Then for a pop of glitter, I dampen my brush and pack ‘trick’ all of my lids. You can also apply this to the inner corner.

I am using the Soap and glory super cat liner (which is AMAZING) to do a thin line at my lash line with a flick at the outer corner. I ever so slightly smudge that in with ‘blackheart’. For mascara I am using Barry M extra volume black showgirl for natural but defined lashes.

For my brows I am filling them in with a little of the bronzer on an angled brush and brushing them through so they look natural.

Finally on my lips I am using the Rimmel Kate Moss matte lipstick in 111 ‘kiss of life’, which is a great red shade. I top that with Tanya Burr ‘Heart skipped a beat’ which is really similar to ‘Mistletoe kisses’ which is limited edition for Christmas and I can’t find this in store, but this is really similar! It’s a glittery red gloss that’s amazing.

Have a great Christmas x
