As the months fly by, and the sun finally shows its face in Britain after what seems like decades, new hair, nail, fragrance and vintage jewellery favourites have worked their way into my brand new summer routine.
My brand new favourite is from Percy & Reed, their No Oil Oil, for smoothed, sealed and sensationally volumised hair. It adds moisture and shine, without the extra grease. The oil also adds a bohemian, festival look, with minimal effort required. Not only does it work as after shower hair care, but also as a second day boost of moisture. If you suffer from dry hair or frizzy ends, this is a great boost of moisture.
Despite Nails Inc's recent relaunch and re brand, I've pledged to finish my old polishes before I purchase any more. 'South Molton Street' has soared to the top of my everyday favourites. The sheer natural finish has a slight glossiness to it, and gives your nails a healthy shine. If you're not a fan of colours on your nails, this is a great summer shade, especially for a simple glow on the toes. I love this shade. After 3 coats there's an opaque, soft and flawless finish. It drys super quick too, so no need to wait around.
To pair with this, No7's Nourishing Nail & Cuticle Care makes this duo perfection. Gently rub a little of this over the cuticle after the last coat is fully dry. This will evade smudging or chipping of the polish whilst still wet. This cares for any damage the polish may have caused to the nail bed or cuticle. As an alternative, you could also use hand cream.
Gucci's Flora is a stunning fragrance, feminine but 'deeply sensual'. With top notes of citrus fruit, peony, mandarin, heart notes of roses and the rare osmanthus flower. Finally, base notes of patchouli and sandal wood. If you aren't a wearer of light florals, such as Marc Jacob's Daisy line, this is a perfect summer scent. This is a floral and delicate fragrance, with hints of woodland and musk.
Finally I have been really into vintage jewellery, especially the centre ring (between Nails Inc and P&R). I love the stunning detailing of the leaves and entwined metal. Vintage jewellery is also great due to the purse friendly prices and general quality.
