STEP 1:
Conceal around the eyes and onto the eyelids for an even and smooth base that disguises discoloration and any unwanted pigmentation. Set this with a matte cream shadow or translucent powder. Also apply this matte highlight to the brow bone to lift the eye area and bone structure.
STEP 2:
Blend a little matte black at a time into the crease and work slowly outwards, creating a wing. Apply this with an angled blending brush for a soft triangular shape. Keep the product in a small area and avoid blending too far as this will defeat the purpose of the product placement.
STEP 3:
With a matte plum crease shade apply this to the centre of the crease, blending slightly into the black, and the black into the plum. Again, keep the blending controlled, and not too messy. Soften any edges or harsh lines with a big blending brush and pale shadow in the crease.
STEP 4:
Highlight the centre of the lid with the same matte white we used to highlight the brow bone. Press just above the lash line, keeping it low down, so not to disturb the darker shades. Blend this lightly if needed, to avoid harsh edges.
STEP 5:
Line the lash line, winging it out at the outer corner, thickening it up for a sharp, defined eye. Black liquid liner works best for this, but if you feel more comfortable using a pencil or eye shadow, a softer line looks great too. Curl the lashes and build up your mascara for a lashy, feathery eye.
This plummy eye is perfect for a slightly smokey winter makeup look, and paired with berry lip and glowy skin, what could better define Winter makeup!
