Pastel
lip colours is one of my favourite things about spring, and with delicate but
bright colours everywhere, why not try something new for the lips. Whether you
are a peach lover, pink obsessed or simply looking for the perfect pastel
shade, you have come to the right place.
For
the perfect peachy coral, try Revlon’s lip butter in ‘Juicy papaya’. The smooth
moisturising formula creates a soft hue of colour that tints the lips without
feeling heavy. Its somewhere between a lipstick, a gloss and a balm. The feel
of a balm, a slight glossiness but still with good colour payoff.
For
a pretty pop of colour, try the Body shop colour crush lipstick in 15. It’s a
bright, warm pink that can take you all the way into summer. You can amp it up
for a strong bold, or blend it in for a natural look. The formula of this
lipstick is smooth, hydrating, sheer and slightly glossy. Whilst the sheerness
leaves a subtle finish, the colour payoff is very good.
Christmas
saw the release of ‘creamsicle’ lip-gloss by Bare Minerals- a combination of 'hot shot' and 'trailblazer'. Either of these shades would be perfect, ‘hot shot’ a
bright coral pink and ‘trailblazer’ a pretty, shimmery nude. It provides a slick of gloss that attracts
light on the lips. It’s not too sticky that it’s uncomfortable, or so slippy it
slides off the lips. The flavour is minty and fresh, with a slight plumping and
cooling effect to the lips.
So those are my favourite lip colours for spring, bright and colourful!
