Benefits skincare is not often talked about in the blog-o-sphere and despite the quirky and cute packaging, the Benefit Remove It Make-up Cleanser has alot more to offer than just looking pretty on your bathroom shelf. Interested? Keep reading...
The light, refreshing micellar water can be applied all over the skin and eyes, to remove make-up and product build up on the skin and eyes. Personally, I find that I struggle to remove all of my eye make-up without using quite alot of product. I hold the cotton pad over my eye and slowly remove. Repeat on both eyes until all traces of make-up is removed. I follow this up by swiping some of this round the rest of my face, before further cleansing.
For heavy make-up wearers or those who tend to wear alot of eye-liner and mascara- this wont do the job. I always find that even when I'm wearing natural eye make-up, there's still a little mascara left over in the morning. However, for little or natural make-up wearers, this does leave soft, grease free skin.
PACKAGING:
If you are looking for a quirky alchemic style bottle with a vintage, 1950's medicinal vibe- this is the one. It looks beautiful, but practical too, the plastic bottle being easily transferred with no risk of breakage or leakage. The cork style lid is also a nice touch. I do find however, due to the conical shape, you are cheated of some product.
PRICE:
For me, the price point is available for most budgets. At £16.50 this is a little pricey, although in comparison to some alternatives, this is a bargain.
Do I recommend it? If you are a light make-up wearer- yes. If you don't mind splashing out a little on skincare- yes. But if you want something that really removes alot of make-up quickly- no. There's plenty of micellar waters on the market though, so I'll just have to keep searching for the perfect one...
