Percy and Reed No Oil Oil

Oil has suddenly become a trend. We've seen lips and skincare, now its time for hair. A large part of this recent trend, is the development of the products that don't leave a gresy film. These oils absorb into skin, leaving simply a soft and smooth surface. Percy and Reed have recently launched their contribution to the oily trend- the No Oil Oil.

This jelly textured oil is light weight, volumising and also adds a little texture- without the dry and frizzy after effect. However, this also smooths and moisturises the hair follicles, with a sleek chic finish.

I like to apply this hair gel just after the shower, whilst my hair is damp, but not dry. This makes the hair easier to brush, working as a great de-tangler. It also adds a glossy, smooth finish once blow dryed. Whilst the hair follicles are still open, the moisture is locked in by blow drying a few moments afterwards. This allows time for the oil to work its magic and give a soft, fluffy look to the hair.

Take 1, 2 or 3 pumps depending on your hair length and smooth from the mid lengths to the ends of your hair and smooth in. Avoid the roots, as this is where grease develops first.

In terms of packaging, I love Percy & Reed's branding. The font is hand drawn looking, stylish and 'old school'.  It pairs perfectly with the monochrome colour scheme. The pump delivers a good amount of product, that can be easily adapted to length of hair, without excess waste.

The smell is something of an acquired taste. It has a herby, woodland scent, it does fade fairly quickly, so don't worry about it lingering. But to avoid disappointment, maybe give it a little sniff before purchase.

For an added shine and glow over the summer, this is a pleasing lightweight product, that is particularly useful for dry to normal hair. Pair it with a cool pair of shades, for a sleek Summer look!
