Apricot makeup

Autumn is in full swing, and with winter on the horizon, an update in my make-up bag is due. Introducing some burnt apricot shades and refreshing with some gloss for an extra glow boost, this seasons theme is warm peaches. Add some extra flush into dull, dry skin with this little make-up shake-up...

COMPLEXION:

Start with a medium coverage foundation that induces glow with a satin- dewy finish. Blend Benefits Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation across the skin for an even base and build up on the skin if required. This will give your complexion a youthful light in the chilly months.

Swipe a little of your favourite brightening concealer under the eyes and onto the high points of the face. Blend gently for a fresh awakened look. Complete the skin with a light dusting of Bourjois's Healthy Balance powder to set and add a matified glow. This look is all about a healthy, sun lit glow, minus the glitter and sweaty sheen.

CHEEKS:

Blush is key for this look and MUA's Lolly is an amazing dupe for Clinique's Cheek Pop in Peach Pop- identical in fact. This is one of my favourites, and at £1 (!) its definitely worth a whirl. Stipple lightly over the apples of the cheeks, as the unusual texture blends as if a cream.

Pair this with a little bronzer and highlighter to finish. A creamy, blend able bronze comes in the form of HD Brows Powder Foundation in 3 and twins with Body Shop's Glow Radiance Pearls for a sparkly flow that defiantly fits in with the strobing trend. If you fancy adding even more highlight, check out this  post, focusing on strobing.

BROWS:

Keep the browns thick and full of texture with Soap and Glory's Archery Brow Pencil. Brush upwards to decipher your natural shape and fill in a little where necessary. Brush again to blend the pigment for a natural look. This fine pencil allows you to create tiny hair like strokes, keeping the brows realistic and not overly drawn on.

EYES:

For the eyes, warm browns with peach and gold undertones work best for this look. Start with a creamy bronze base - Max Factors Shadow stick in '5' works wonders for this. The bronze undertones gives a subtle wash of colour and shimmer, and a great base for eye shadow.

Speaking of which, Sleek's Garden of Eden will blend perfectly with this apricot make-up. Apply 'Gates of Eden' (a warm gold with a haze of rose) across the lid, over the cream base, and also into the inner corner. Orange undertones enhance blue eyes perfectly, so this is a great balance for those with blue eyes. As a crease shade, 'Flora' is a key transition shade to add definition and soft edges to any look.

LINER & LASHES:

To further define the eyes, apply Lancome's Plume Liquid Liner along the lash line. I tend to thicken it at the centre of the eyes, to widen and round. I also do my signature feline flick at the outer corner and thicken this up too. This provides plenty of definition and attracts the eye to the lashes and peach gold sheen. Finish off the eyes with a few coats of your favourite mascara, I am loving No.7 Extreme Length Mascara for fluttery lashes.

LIPS:

Finish the look with a creamy lipstick and light reflecting gloss. Blend Revlon's Juicy Papaya for an opaque finish and softly pat a little of Bare Minerals 'Creamsicle' into the centre of the lips to highlight and plump.

Apricot make-up matches perfectly with golden sunsets and rusty leaves. Will you be updating your make-up bag for Autumn?
