During the month of October, I haven't been much new makeup, and I've been stuck in a bit of a beauty rut (let me know if you have any recommendations), and so today I will be shaking things up a bit with a chatty, random favorites. A mixture of food, furniture and music, lets dive in...
First up, is the pasta above. I'm not much of a chef, but I do love food. This is very simple to make, and really fills you up.
INGREDIENTS for one portion:
- 1/2 can of tuna
- 1/2 avocado
- Cucumber
- 1 cup of pasta
- Mayonnaise
STEP 1
Start by adding your pasta into a saucepan and then pour some water over the top, so the pasta is fully covered. Place it onto the hob and start to cook it. Leave to simmer until soft.
STEP 2
Whilst the pasta is cooking, slice the cucumber into small chunks. Do as much or as little as you like of this, dependent on personal preferences. Also slice the avocado in two, remove the stone and wrap the other half in cling film and place it in the fridge. Cut the avocado into similar chunks, and remove by cutting round the edge.
STEP 3
Open the can of tuna, and separate the tin into two, half into a bowl, half into the refrigerator. Add some mayonnaise for fluidity and smoothness. This will also make the tuna almost double in size.
STEP 4
Once the pasta is fully cooked, add all the prepared ingredients into a bowl or tub and give a good stir to make sure everything is evenly distributed. You can double the proportions and refrigerate half for another day or share with someone else.
The next two are homeware favorites, that also feature regularly in photos. Have you guessed it? Yes, its the paper flowers and small retro clock above. If you're a regular reader here, you will recognize these paper flowers. 5 of these, in white, yellow and peach live in a jar, filled with beads to stop them moving around too much. These are probably my most used prop, and definitely my favourite. Cute and simple, I love these alot.
My small retro clock resides on my desk and whilst having quite a loud, resounding tick, I find it quite comforting and almost therapeutic when I'm working. I love the colours, yellow and green are some of my favorites, and I also love the charector that it has.
Another foody favorite, Juicy Water's Lemon and Lime juice. This zingy, refreshing alternative to water or juice. Not too sour, but not too sweet. The bottle is also really cute!
A key part of my blog, is of course, my blogging notebook. Not something you see very regularly, but very, very important! I take this around with me, brainstorm new ideas, draft write new posts and organised everything in many, many lists. Its a bit messy, but I can't live without it!
Its been a year since Taylor Swift released 1989, and I wanted to give it a little happy Birthday shout out, as I am still in love with it! If you haven't got it, I highly suggest you do! Some of my favourite songs are: 'Welcome to New York', 'Wildest Dreams', 'Clean', 'You're in Love' and 'Wonderland'.
Last, but definitely not least, my deco-patch cats. These live on my desk, and I love the mismatch style of the collage, and range of colours. I am a bit of a crazy cat lady, and so these are perfect for me!
I hope you enjoyed this chatty non-beauty faves, sharing some of my random little loves!
Great picks! These paper flowers are so pretty! :)
