Subtle shimmer makeup
A shimmery touch to your makeup can add a youthful and natural glow. However if over applied, the disco ball effect is not so pretty. Shimmer though is a classic part to any makeup look, whether complexion, eyes or lips.
Starting with the face. Whilst a sparkly foundation or concealer isn't everyone's cup of tea, highlighter is much easier and user friendly.
For a subtle glow, the Avon mineral radiance powder gives a healthy, candlelit glow. The slight pink tone allows it to be used as a neutral blush too. The Body shop glow radiance pearls however, give a more dramatic, iridescent look that looks incredible in the colder months.
Glitter eye-shadow can be stunning and for a budget buy- sleek and 17 make great sparkly shades. Whilst a pigment might be a little more hassle, the overall look is worth it. Urban decay also make great glitters, 'trick' being a favourite of mine. 'Buzz' is also stunning, and when mixed it creates an incredible foiled rose gold effect.
Shimmery lipstick is a love or hate for most, but Clinique's 27 'after party' is a stunner. The deep berry is eye catching and the subtle shimmer reflects light in a awe striking way. The lipstick doesn't drag either, providing a smooth finish. Chanel 116 is also very similar, however with a slightly sheerer look, and a gloss finish.
Shimmery gloss however, is a little more tame and easy to work with. Tanya Burr's glitter glosses are very easy to work with and add a very subtle light reflection. 'Heart skipped a beat' and 'smile dream sparkle'(aptly named) have the perfect amount to catch the eye.
I hope this gave you a few sparkly tips and tricks, and if your looking for the perfect glitter nails to match check this post out!
