Glitter
nails are beautiful , and especially as its the
festive season, they add some sparkle to a cold, crisp winters day. If you
are a fellow glitter lover like me and enjoy wearing glitter all year round,
these tips will be perfect...
APPLICATION:
When
painting with glitter try to apply to a small space only. An accent nail or
simply the tips in sparkle looks chic and sophisticated, rather than messy and
unpolished.
A
glitter French manicure is ultimately chic and timelessly classic. It can be
detailed or simple, or with bold shapes and colours. The colours can be changed depending on
preferences or season.
When
applying glitter pat on the product for even and thick application. Use a
cotton bud to remove excess product and sharpen edges.
PRODUCT:
Some
of my favorite iridescent shades are from Barry M, Urban decay and Illamasqua.
Barry
M's glitter nail paints are build able, budget friendly and despite being
slightly sandy, easily forgiven by a glossy topcoat. The color range is wide
with a range of glitter chunks. The range of shades and chunk sizes adds a
fresh, different approach to a sparkly manicure.
Illamasqua's
opacity and unusual smoothness in their glitter range leaves for a stand out
product that's definitely worth the extra little splurge. The polish feels very
luxury and the long thin brush allows easy, precise application.
Urban
Decay offer something a little different. The glitter is fine and small, so
very subtle and daytime appropriate. Avon has again, done done something
different, a subtle opal finish with chunks of mint pink overlay.
Bourjois
also makes a great tinted glitter, purple with silver sparkle. This reduces the
need for a base color. This also has a long handle, allowing easy and smooth
application. Similar to Urban Decay, the glitter is fine and subtle, and with
the blend of lilac mauve, this intense silver becomes far more approachable.
Hopefully
glitter seems a little less scary and more approachable for everyday with these
simple tips!
I looove how glitter nails look, but I don't like them on my own! I don't know, I love my matte or ever so slightly shiny nails.
ReplyDeleteDespite that fact, amazing post, lovely!I will show this to my friends who love their glittery nails! I hope you have a great day xx
